BDIH Certification

Logona was established in 1977 when there was a wave of environmental consciousness happening through Europe giving life to many alternative enterprises, organic agriculture, renewable energy and environmental responsibilities. Today over 200 natural personal care and cosmetic products carry the Logona label. Strict ingredients quality standards have always been an issue focusing on high quality natural raw materials such as premium vegetable oils and waxes, herbal extracts and floral distillates derived from organic agriculture and wild crafting (grown in the wild). Minimum and recycled packaging is used also.

No Synthetic Preservatives and Careful Procedures

No synthetic preservatives and careful procedures are in place. Logona utilizes GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), the pharmaceutical production standard, to guide it’s manufacturing and successfully completing the "Environmental Audit" of its entire operation conducted under mandate of the German federal government.

Logona Goals

The goal at Logona is to make quality personal care products with minimal impact on the planet. Unlike the American FDA, which also establishes rules for ingredients in personal care products, German Government Agencies actually have the resources to enforce their rules rigorously. For example, Government Agents visit manufacturing procedures and take product samples for testing. The testing includes checking the accuracy of ingredients. As a result, fradulent ingredients’ listing has been practically eliminated. By contrast American consumers have only their faith in the honesty of manufacturers to accept as true the ingredients declaration of American products.

The BDIH (German Trade Association) works diligently to define the border between natural and conventional and formulated a set of guidelines to which companies must comply in order to receive the BDIH seal of approval .Manufacturers must submit their nominated product to an independent laboratory for analysis to receive the BDIH seal.
